The Fascination Formula
I’ll never forget the first successful business website I put online. I thought it was absolutely amazing, and if I could fall in love with a digital file, the code in that document would’ve been my soul mate. I was so incredibly proud of myself; I thought I was on top of the world. I had created something absolutely amazing.
It wasn’t always like that though.
When I started my first business, the website was a big deal. I was one of those loner keep-to-myself kinds of guys, so getting people to contact me online was very important to me.
I wanted the one stop shop online for my customer. I wanted to create a site so awesome, they would never leave and would call me up constantly and tell me how awesome it was.
After day dreaming for a while though, I fell back to earth and created an attack plan of what exactly I needed to do to get the website done.
Hosting? Easy.
Design? Simple.
Search Engine Optimization? Piece of cake.
Written Content? Uh oh.
I had a really hard time writing content for the site. Not because I couldn’t write…I had actually written a lot of stuff before. I was ok at writing, I just felt like I had no clue what to actually write about.
I knew I needed to write about the business, but for some reason that just seemed impossibly hard. Instead, I decided to host a three hour long staring contest with the computer screen.
I totally won too. The cursor kept blinking.
When I realized all the time I wasted though, I snapped out of my trance and began to contemplate my problem.
I figured I just didn’t really know my business enough yet since it was still new to me…But I mean what exactly do you write on a website? Do I just say “Hi” and introduce myself? Are there rules I need to follow?
I had hit a major roadblock.
I had no clue what to write, but I needed a website up ASAP. One day, I sat down and I just started writing (FINALLY!). I got through about 3 paragraphs for each page and was EXSTATIC about it. I had surprised myself and was actually pretty happy with what I’d done, so I promptly posted the content up on the site and sat back and waited for people to come give me money.
Time went on, and after not really hearing anything from anyone for a while, I forgot about it. It wasn’t until a year or so later when I came back to it and decided to mess around with it. I considered it a failure, so in my mind if I could get ANYTHING out of it, it would be a success.
I’d learned a lot that year. I had researched marketing, psychology and even sales in many different trades, and I learned quite a bit about the human mind. I started by examining my own behaviors online, and what I found was that I wouldn’t really read a site if it wasn’t helping me in some way. I also wouldn’t buy anything I had any questions about. There was a ton of other stuff, but we’ll get into that a little later.
So I started working on the site, keeping the design the EXACT same.
All I did was edit the content.
To my amazement, little tweaks in what I said, how I said it, and where I put the text made a MAJOR impact in the response I got. Simple things like talking about my company were changed to things that talked more about the customer’s need.
People started asking questions, contacting me, and wanting my services – all from simple content changes.
They were absolutely fascinated by what I had to say. It was shocking, because in the most basic form, all I had done was transformed my content from being about me, to being about them – and that’s when it hit me. It’ not about me, it’s about the customer.
That’s how I discovered the Fascination Formula.
Since that day, I’ve created hundreds of websites, both for clients and myself. I’ve started and still run many online content sources like blogs and resource sites – all utilizing this very same formula.
I’ve learned a LOT about writing compelling content from the business I told you about above and my experience over the years, and I’ve helped a lot of other businesses write stuff for their customers too.
Listen up and sit up straight because in the following pages, I’m going to share with you the very secrets my clients paid me truckloads of money for implementing.
Within the Fascination Formula, I’ve laid out step by step instructions on how to stop communicating things about you, and start reaching out to the customer on a level you never knew was possible. If you follow this formula, you’ll shoot past your competitors, your referrals will skyrocket, and current customers will become raving fans. The customers that buy your product or service will not just like it, they’ll LOVE it, and they’ll be customers for life.
If you don’t follow this formula, you could be caught in an uphill battle with your competitors for market share, get little to no feedback on your product or service, and be stuck thinking about why your competition gets all the green.
So what exactly is it?
The Fascination Formula is a complete step-by-step formula for writing compelling content online. At its core, it uses bits and pieces of my research into psychology, marketing and business to create the perfect way to get in touch with your customer, find out who they are, and speak to them unlike anyone ever has. If you do it right, you’ll be the internet version of their knight in shining armor.
I’ve compiled it all into a super simple 4-step process and I walk you through it on video.
Before we get started, you should know that everything I put into my formula is of the highest importance, and is essential to being successful in your target market. In order to get what you need out of this program though, you have to be open to it. That means you should take what you think you know about writing content for your website and toss it out your car window at 90MPH.
This program is a formula. What happens in math if you only use half or pieces of a formula? You’d be better off trying to divide by zero.
Often times, business owners tend to think that they know how things should be done. The problem with assuming that you have the answer though is that you aren’t open to alternative solutions since you already know best. If I am ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE I need coffee to cure my caffeine headache, it doesn’t matter what you tell me about soda or a caffeine pill, I still need coffee. “Oh really? Drinking a soda or taking that little pill will make my headache go away? Cool. I’m heading to Starbucks, want anything?“
The same thing happens with information. You need to be open enough to accept the ideas in the following pages and be willing to put them into practice immediately. Trust me, you can spend a ton of time learning all this stuff or trying different things, but if you seriously just stop and do what I tell you, I can save you YEARS of learning things the hard way.
Mr. Hard Head, read here.
Although I’d love to design something that would help everyone in the world, this program just doesn’t cut it. Some of you will rummage through this material not looking for help. Some of you are extremely hard headed and stubborn, and will not budge on your own traditional view of the internet.
If this is you, you have two options at this point:
- Slap yourself out of your current thought process and follow the program as it’s intended to get the full effect of the formula.
- Stop reading right now and look elsewhere for help.
This formula has been proven time and time again, but even the best formula in the world will not be able to help those that cannot follow it correctly. And even though some of you STILL think you’re not one of those people, be open to the fact that you could be.
Humans are creatures of habit, and many people are not aware of the habits they routinely perform every day. All I’m asking you to do is realize that just because everyone does something, or just because YOU’VE always done it, doesn’t mean it’s effective for your website or your business.
So now that Mr. Hard Head is gone, I need a commitment out of you. I need you to make a promise that you will follow this program in its entirety, not just bits and pieces. I need you to promise that you’ll consume and learn what I’ve compiled here, not just watch and listen. I need you to change the way you think and write content. Most of all though, I need to ensure you are 100% committed to the material within the formula itself.
If that sounds like you, you have my permission to continue on, consume the formula to its fullest, and make a boatload of cash while you’re at it.
Don’t be a quitter. Do this for you and your business.
